About Oak Ridge Dairy
A few years ago, we got our first Jersey heifer and fell in love with them as a breed.
Fast forward to today and we are now a start-up micro-dairy that started as a single-family milk cow to provide our family with delicious raw milk, to now providing that same product to you!
We will provide a clean and safe product for your family just as we do for ourselves.
We are held to a high standard as a licensed dairy with the State of Illinois which is exactly what we wanted and in turn, you will be provided with a top-notch, hand-crafted gallon of raw milk each and every time.
A Little About Our Jerseys
We care for our Jersey girls and they live 24/7 on pasture with fresh grass as we rotationally graze them.
Each of them receives a portion of non-GMO dairy ration to help support their body during milk production. We never push them to be high-production, so they can live at ease and be stress-free.
Another thing we do, because we find it so important, is to test all of them for diseases and make sure they are free of any diseases commonly found in dairy and beef herds across North America.
All of our Jerseys are also tested and confirmed to be A2/A2 milk protein, which has been researched and documented to be able to be consumed by many who are considered lactose intolerant.
Store-bought milk is a mix of A1 and A2 milk proteins from a variety of cows and is often found to be the cause of lactose intolerance.
